Commissioned by the Ministry of I&M. Posad investigated the spatial impact of the ambitions of the Dutch National Energy Pact: 100% renewable energy production and consumption in 2050. What does that mean to our energy use? And our landscape?
The design research concludes that 80% of the Dutch the energy demand 2050 can be provided from renewable sources. Without saving measures, 100% is not possible. By also applying saving measures, space for making choices arises.
Each area and each land use type requires a tailored approach; a generic approach seems not to exist. For production regions, sustainable energy is challenge which also opens new opportunities; for example for new business.
