In June, Boris became a member of the Provincial Advisory Committee on Quality of Life (PAL) for the province of Zuid-Holland. The PAL is an independent committee of external experts that provides the provincial executive and provincial council with solicited and unsolicited recommendations. It advises on subjects affecting quality of life, such as the environment, parks and gardens, water, spatial planning, mobility and the economy.
Boris says about his appointment, “I hope to use the experience and knowledge I gain every day in my work at Posad for the benefit of society. The province of Zuid-Holland is the ideal place for me to do that, not only because I live there but also because I started my career with the province. In the years to come, I look forward to giving advice on the greatest spatial challenges of the coming decades: robust water management systems and the energy transition. We need bolder decisionmaking if we’re going to accelerate essential developments. I also hope to be an inspiring partner for the other members of the committee.”
